MINUTES of the Annual Parish Meeting held in the School Hall, Back Lane, Newburgh on Wednesday, 23rd May 2007 commencing at 7.30pm.

 

PRESENT Cllr. R.E. Porter, Chairman and Mr B. Howard, Clerk of the Council.

17 residents including Parish Councillors.

 

1.

MINUTES of the Annual Parish Meeting held on 17th May 2006 were agreed and signed as a correct record.

 

2.

PARISH COUNCIL ANNUAL REPORT.

The Chairman, Cllr. Porter welcomed residents, outlined the Agenda for the evening and introduced the folk singer, Mark Dowding.

He also welcomed Mrs Janice Reynolds, the new Headteacher, Mrs Ellie Furzeman, Licensee, Red Lion Hotel and he sent best wishes to Irene, the new Postmistress and the Rev. David Towler on his retirement.

The highlights of the Annual Report were: -

 

 

The Chairman thanked Councillors and the Clerk for their help and work over the past year.

 

The Chairman asked for any questions from those present but none were raised.

 

3.

VALUES AND VISIONS.

A Presentation was given about our draft Values and Visions Statement.

 

4.

BE ENTERTAINED.

Mark Dowding provided excellent entertainment by his folk singing.

 

 

The Chairman thanked residents for their attendance and invited them to take tea and biscuits and talk informally to Parish Councillors.

 

 

The Receipts and Payments records were available for public inspection.

 

 

A copy of the Parish Council Annual Report 2006/07 was handed to those residents present.
