Dear Resident,

 

Round O Quarry, Cobbs Brow Lane, Newburgh.

 

There has been mounting concern in the village over the adverse environmental impact of the operations at the quarry. A number of residents and the Parish Council have lodged complaints to the Authorities but it is felt that it would carry more weight and assist the case for something to be done, if many more residents officially registered their concerns.

 

When making contact with those listed below, it is important that specific details are given so that action can be taken.

 

Mud on the road or Highway problems.

The Quarry is expected to operate effective wheel washing arrangements but recently unacceptable deposits of mud have been observed. Contact: -

Lines open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

The Centre will pass on concerns to the Department concerned.

 

Environmental or Planning issues.

Problems with Quarry vehicles.

Inglenorth are the main user of the Quarry but other Companies may also be involved. If problems related to Inglenorth are identified, e.g. convoys, routes, lack of sheeting, over-running verges, etc. contact Inglenorth and /or the Executive Director of Environment above.
