NEWBURGH NEWS SPECIAL.
22nd October 2009.
Dear Resident,
Round O Quarry Planning Application.
One of our roles is to inform residents if there is an issue that is important to us all.
Round O Quarry has lodged an application for an extension in time of their Aggregate Recycling Facility for another ten years. (This is separate from the quarrying and restoration permission, for which an extension will also be sought).
At the next Parish Council Meeting on Wednesday, 28th October we will consider our response. Our approach concentrates on the aspect of the quarry that most concerns residents, namely that of traffic. We expect to object to the application as it stands, because there are no satisfactory assurances about traffic routing.
Please take the opportunity to make a response as a local resident, if you think it appropriate. You can view the relevant information at: -
Application Number 08/09/1141, County Hall, Preston or
Application Number 2009/1141/CMA, Borough Council Offices, Ormskirk or on their website www.westlancs.gov.uk/planning
